Increasingly, criminals are captured on video, and while their face may be hidden, their gait—the way they walk, could associate them to a suspect. Forensic gait analysis, the use of gait as evidence is now a well-established contributor to identification with a validated, reliable, published methodology. This presentation will provide video analysts with a roadmap on how to obtain the requisite knowledge necessary to perform or assist with forensic gait analysis in casework.
